We are a wholesale nursery with an open position for a Farm Mechanic. Applicants must have a broad background in tractor repair and diagnostics with some experience in truck and basic auto repair. Must be able to properly diagnose and complete repairs in an efficient and timely manner. This position may need to help in welding and basic fabrication as well as be required to complete projects under difficult conditions or off-hours to keep our production equipment operating.
Duties: 1) Basic tractor repair that includes: Brakes, clutches, front end, minor engine repair, starting and charging systems. 2) Basic tractor and equipment service and maintenance. 3) Basic commercial truck repair that includes: basic service, brakes, clutch, minor engine and front end repair. 4) Suggest solutions to avoid downtime and efficient equipment repairs. 5) Practice safe work habits at all times. 6) Treat all employees, vendors, and visitors in a professional manner at all times. 7) Maintain security for company tools, parts, and other property. 8) Work with other employees and share knowledge. 9) Communicate with supervisor as needed on the status of work in progress. 10) Keep accurate and up-to-date service records as directed.
Requirements: 1) Valid state drivers license with an insurable driving history. 2) Previous experience with and knowledge of tractor repair. 3) Ability to complete repairs on a wide variety of equipment. 4) Must communicate well with all levels of management and be able to provide information for project specifications. 5) Basic welding and fabrication skills would be a plus but not required. 6) All tools needed to complete tractor, truck and equipment repairs.

Bailey Nurseries Inc. currently has an opening for a Greenhouse Grower in our Yamhill, Oregon propagation department. This position will have grower responsibilities which include organizing and setting production priorities to maximize efficiency and optimum plant quality.
Candidates must have the ability to identify greenhouse crop requirements along with plant health issues and be able to recommend appropriate actions.
