Candidates must have the ability to identify greenhouse crop requirements along with plant health issues and be able to recommend appropriate actions. Wholesale B & B and container nursery in the Willamette Valley has an opening for a career-minded inside sales person. This person will work with outside sales representatives and with current/new customers.
Horticulture experience is a plus but on the job training is available for a quick and eager learner. Customer service is a large part of this job. You will take and review orders, offer product substitutions, and give nursery tours to customers.
Duties include: maintain frequent contact with customers, follow up on deliveries and pickups, schedule shipping logistics and help coordinate the digging schedule with the farm manager. Monitor inventory including the distribution of availability.
Review order shipments and communicate order changes or shipping delays. Resolve any customer concerns and issue credits. Enter quotes on customer projects and keep up with the daily email. Enter orders and invoice after shipping.
This position requires the ability to perform independently and as part of a team. Must have strong written and verbal communications, solid organizational and time management skills.
