Trees Northwest is a small, but growing, nursery marketing and shipping company (located between Sandy and Eagle Creek) heavily involved in the landscape/construction industries throughout a multi-state region. Ours is a small, informal and fast paced environment where we focus on efficiency, accuracy, and productivity while still maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We are looking for someone to help in our office with plant sales and customer service, marketing, plant sourcing, accounts receivable, shipping and all aspects of small office management.

For this position you must have the following qualifications:

  • Familiarity with and experience in the nursery industry as well as extensive nursery plant knowledge.
  • Excellent phone communication capabilities.
  • Must be flexible, organized, and motivated.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task at a high level.
  • Must be able to gather and organize pertinent paperwork and information relating to each project as it progresses.
  • Must have efficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, emailing, texting, etc. Also, knowledge with other widely used office software, as well as experience in Web development and marketing is a plus.
  • Must be personable, have a quick mind and above all possess a positive, fun-loving energetic and creative attitude.

Smith Gardens has an exciting opportunity for a Section Grower to join our team at our Aurora, Oregon site.

Smith Gardens, headquartered in Bellingham Washington is 108 year old family owned company with facilities in three states. The Aurora facility includes acres of greenhouses and outside growing area. The Section Grower is responsible for daily irrigation, fertilization and misting of crops. Coordinate with Head Grower to determine crop cultural needs. Maintain environmental controls, assists with pest controls, sanitation of area, and crop layout.

Successful Candidate will have a pesticide applicator's license, able to use and maintain spraying equipment, knowledge of basic bedding plant identification, previous leadership experience a plus. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, both verbal and written.

This is a year-round position with long hours and up to 6-days work weeks (which could include Saturday or Sunday based on business needs) during peak season, while also working outdoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
