River Rock Nursery – DISPLAY GARDEN

Gretchen started selling plants at the Portland Saturday Market the first year that it started, growing cactus, succulents, herbs and bonsai. As her family grew, the plants gave way to children, sheep and weaving. Ten years ago, the nursery started in earnest, grafting conifers and taking cuttings. Now River Rock Nursery has a great selection of Japanese maples, conifers, and woody plants, with a large selection for use by bonsai enthusiasts. (You frequently can find Gretchen on Saturdays at the Hollywood Market and PSU Park blocks.)
