Be sure to bring your camera and notepad. A list of local retailers carrying Terra Nova plants will be provided and a gift of sample plants will be your reward at the conclusion of your visit. A log house nestled at the edge of the forest is the perfect location for Mark and Val Bloom’s country garden. Tall cedar, hemlock and Douglas firs creates a natural framework in shades of green around the 2-acre planting. Hillsides of heathers, heaths and dwarf conifers, complete with babbling brook, overlook a small grassy meadow and pasture. A stone path winds through shade gardens planted with ferns, astilbes, Japanese maples, rhododendrons, azaleas, hostas and more. Sunny flowerbeds below a moss-covered stone wall are filled with roses, vines, specialty trees and perennials.

Designed by noted landscape architect Andy Rice, the 6-acre garden features ponds, waterfalls, plants in production and those being tested for introduction.
