OAN office will be closed New Year's Eve and Day

The Oregon Association of Nurseries hopes you had a successful year in 2012. We offer our kindest wishes for a prosperous 2013! Your OAN office will be closed on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day so that employees can celebrate the New Year with their families. We will be back, open and ready to serve you, starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013!

Thanks for your continued support and membership. Our "Getting the Most" flier (PDF) outlines many of the most popular benefits that make your OAN membership worthwhile. With these benefits, you can save money, market your business, improve your knowledge, and protect our industry. Call the OAN office at 503-682-5089 (Portland area) or 1-800-642-3401.

Five nurseries featured in the State of Perfection issue of Digger

Five outstanding Oregon nurseries representing a variety of nursery sectors are being featured in the 2013 State of Perfection issue of Digger magazine. They include Brentano's Tree Farm, Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Peace of Mind Nursery, Schreiner's Iris Gardens, and Van Essen Nursery Co. This special issue helps promote all the things that make Oregon growers special. Extra copies are distributed at East Coast trade shows, including MANTS.

Your copy of the issue should arrive later this week or early next week. The OAN also has produced a short video at each nursery. Watch for those to be posted at www.diggermagazine.com.

Recruit a new member and earn OAN Bucks

OAN membership has always delivered value that's worth sharing, but now it's more true than ever. When you sign up a new member, you get OAN Bucks, which are good toward association services! Here's how it works:

1. Sign 'em up. Sign up a new member company and receive $100 in "OAN Bucks." A new member is any company that has never been an OAN member, or hasn't been since 2009.

2. Get the credit. When they fill out the membership form, just make sure your name is written in the "sponsored by" blank.

3. Redeem it! OAN Bucks can be applied toward the cost of association services, such as advertising, trade booth fees and so on — even your dues for 2013! You must be a fully paid 2012 OAN member to participate in the program. Other restrictions apply.

To get started, download the new member form (PDF). You may also want to use a leaflet, Getting the Most from your OAN Membership (PDF), to help them understand all the benefits that membership entails. For complete details, log on to www.oan.org/oanbucks or call Debbie Hopkins at 503-682-5089 (Portland area) or 800-342-6401 (toll free).
