This is one of the "crown jewels" of nursery trade shows in North America. Founded in 1973, the Farwest Show is held in late August at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland and attracts about 14,000 registered attendees from virtually every state and several foreign countries. The show features nearly 450 wholesale nursery exhibitors and about 850 total exhibitors encompassing 1,365 booth spaces.
The show's location -- in the center of some of the most prolific and fertile nursery growing grounds in America -- adds to its attraction and has truly made the Farwest Show the U.S. nursery industry's "summer meeting place." In the days that prelude the exhibits – the Farwest Show features several nursery tours that allow participants to get personal with Oregon's green industry.
