Oregon Conservation Innovation Grant funds available
The Oregon office of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is now accepting applications for its Conservation Innovation Grant program. Applications must be submitted no later than May 4.
The program is to encourage the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. For fiscal year 2012, up to $225,000 may be available for the Oregon statewide CIG competition. To participate in the Oregon CIG sign-up, project proposals should request federal funds of $75,000 or less and must be implemented within the state of Oregon. Contact Laura O'Leary (firstname.lastname@example.org or 503-758-6868) for information. As a benefit of OAN membership, you can also ask other sustainability questions or have her come out to discuss projects you have in mind and where you can find help funding those projects.
