Record-low precipitation levels reported across Oregon

Statewide, the mountain snowpack is only 32 percent of normal for this time of year, according to a report recently published by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Precipitation levels across Oregon are well below average, with only a few sites in the northeast part of the state having seen near normal amounts so far this year.

"While water supply conditions still have time to improve, the farther into the year we go maintaining these dry conditions, the harder it will be for the water supply to catch back up to normal," said Julie Koeberle, a hydrologist with the NRCS.

A members-only forum was created on NurseryGuide.com to help members build partial loads. The Partial Loads Forum allows OAN members to share load information easily without making lots of phone calls. It's easy to use, and its value will shine when members start posting loads.

Click the "Add a New Topic" button. In the subject box, include the city, state and ship dates. In the body, include zip code, footage, timing of the load, contact information and any other information you think is relevant; for example, dry or refrigerated van, or palletized or floor-stacked material. Then select "Save."

If you haven't logged on to NurseryGuide.com before or have forgotten your password, give the OAN office a call at 503-682-5089 or 800-324-6401 and we can help.
