ODA publishes lists of alternatives to neonicotinoid insecticides
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) last week published a list of alternatives to neonicotinoid insecticides
for licensed private applicators for landscape ornamentals, and another for use in nurseries. Although these alternative insecticides do not contain neonicotinoids, some of the active ingredients are still highly toxic to pollinators. If at any time you are unsure about the use of these products, contact ODA at 503-986-4713, or the National Pesticide Information Center at 1-800-858-7378.
Retailers: Share the Plant Something Father's Day video
As a Plant Something partner association, OAN members have access to unique marketing tools that help promote the benefits of plants and gardening. One promotion is a video honoring Father's Day. Members are encouraged to share it with customers and upload it to company websites and social media. In addition to the Father's Day video, members can upload and share the
"Imagine That" video.
