Bonamici to hold six town hall meetings
Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (D–1st) will hold six town hall meetings during the next three weeks to hear from constituents and to discuss her work in Oregon and in Washington, D.C.
"It's critical that I hear from my constituents about issues affecting them," Congresswoman Bonamici said. "These town hall meetings provide me with a useful perspective that informs my work. I always appreciate hearing from my constituents about their ideas, concerns, and questions."
The first town hall will take place on August 29 in McMinnville, with stops in Tualatin (Aug. 29), St. Helens (Aug. 31), Cornelius (Aug. 31), Portland (Sept. 1) and Warrenton (Sept. 13).

Reminder: Make sure P. ramorum paperwork is in order
Ahead of the busy Christmas tree shipping season, Oregon nurseries are reminded of the change that was made to the USDA Domestic Quarantine Regulatory requirements for shipping hosts of Phytophthora ramorum, the pathogen known to cause sudden oak death. Only those nurseries with a current valid USDA issued P. ramorum compliance agreement signed on or after March 31, 2014, are authorized to use the federal P. ramorum certification shield. All others should remove or line out the previously issued federal shield from their shipping paperwork or packaging.
