This Sunday, join French Prairie's 5K run to fight cancer
On Sunday, September 25, OAN members French Prairie Gardens & Family Farm and the Pohlschneider family will host the Fight for Your Life 5K, in memory of Emily Pohlschneider-Edwards.
Emily, daughter and sister of the nursery owners, passed away in 2011 following a tough battle against gestational trophoblastic disease, a rare form of cancer that begins in the uterus. She was a former collegiate track and field athlete with Western Oregon University, who went to nationals four times. Proceeds of the race will benefit Em's Fight, a nonprofit foundation that was founded in Emily's honor, to help women with cancer pay for treatments, daily needs and special experiences.
