The Oregon Association of Nurseries is saddened to report the passing of Oregon Nurseries’ Hall of Fame member Jean Fessler, who co-founded Woodburn Nursery & Azaleas together with her husband, Bob.

She died December 22, 2019 at the age of 80, following a battle with breast cancer. A rosary was held December 26 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Angel. A Mass of Christian burial was held December 27 at the church.

Jean and Bob founded Fessler Farms Inc. in 1961 and then Woodburn Nursery & Azaleas in 1968. All five of their children joined them in helping run the company, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018 and currently has 401 acres in nursery production. Bob and Jean were inducted into the Oregon Nurseries’ Hall of Fame in 2019 for their lifetime contributions to the nursery industry. » Read the full obituary on DiggerMagazine.com
